October 26, 2009 at 14:44 (I'm Say'n)
Darryl Enriquez, longtime Waukesha reporter, steps into the ring to take the title of Mayor from “Nowhere Nelson”.
This is gonna be a fight I’m gonna enjoy watching.
I cannot claim impartiality, I think Nelson has done nothing for our city outside of stack up it’s frequent flyer miles.
Clown needs to go, and Enriquez is the one to do it.
Good luck Big E, now KICK HIS A## !!!

WAAAH whines the Rabbit…
October 23, 2009 at 19:54 (It could be true... maybe not)
I whine… Sans good cheese
While my intent has been and continues to be to post on a somewhat daily basis (I’ve yet to locate the planet who’s tri-moon system creates the somewhat flexible day/night schedule that would suit my somewhat sporadic translation of “daily”. …there is yet hope, vague clues left by me via wormhole.) my laptop seems a bit out as of late.
…”out” as in a broken mouse, nonworking left or right click tabs, an A that is no more, and two broken hinges (hence the earthen pot circa Mexico 2003 or something that serves as a literal screensaver by way of support).
Dude, the things like 4 years old.
And in “a house full of wild animals that once year make for a great tax write off” years it is actually in the neighborhood of 37.
And so, I find myself limited in my ability to post not only by a lack of sense and logic, I also find myself confined to a 1 by 2 1/2 inch screen, the occasional “dead zone”, and not only not last but clearly most importantly, I am without that which differentiates man from ape… spellcheck.
And so, I present to you my (on some as of yet undiscovered tri mooned planet) daily, mobile and poorly spelled post.
Umm… Presented.
cummings – Hubble – your little voice…
October 23, 2009 at 13:31 (Mad Masters)

your little voice
Over the wires came leaping
and i felt suddenly
dizzy
With the jostling and shouting of merry flowers
wee skipping high-heeled flames
courtesied before my eyes
or twinkling over to my side
Looked up
with impertinently exquisite faces
floating hands were laid upon me
I was whirled and tossed into delicious dancing
up
Up
with the pale important
stars and the Humorous
moon
dear girl
How i was crazy how i cried when i heard
over time
and tide and death
leaping
Sweetly
your voice

Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.
The human dress is forged iron,
The human form a fiery forge,
The human face a furnace sealed,
The human heart its hungry gorge.

The most dangerous intersection in Waukesha…
October 12, 2009 at 13:34 (Sha Madness)
For Pedestrians…

A year or so ago I complained about a lack of properly marked cross walks at the Carrol College area, on East ave.
The students where crossing wherever they saw an opening in traffic, and the lone cross walk was pretty much ignored by all.
Not a safe situation.
Last year, the City fixed that. They added two (for a total of three) clearly marked cross walks, and both drivers and walkers are handling them with ease.
No complaints there, they are nicely layed out.
My problem is with the intersection of East and College. Someone seemed to have drew out a nice pretty plan, but failed to think it through.
A week ago I was driving South on East, stopped at the red light at the intersection.
The light turned green, the car before me started through, no problem.
And then, death glanced our way.
Some idiot college student jumped into the cross walk, and was nearly clipped by the car in front of me, the car broke quickly, the student stopped inches from being hit, and the car drove on, through the green light.
I thought the kid missed something. I looked.. yup, green light, I looked again… yup, the orange “do not walk” light was on. And still the kid was bent on walking through traffic.
…I was ticked, I moved ahead, hoping the idiot would grow some brains and get back on the sidewalk… no such luck.
Having put on his horse blinders, he walked in front of my big white van! (And my van is BIG ya’ll) So, I did what I always do whenever I come up to an idiot on the road, I layed on the horn… I layed into it for a good long time.
…A few choice words somehow found their way out my window in the general direction of said fool. …The comment had something to do with the apparent lack of intelligence possessed by his gluteus maximus. …”Dumb a##” I think it was…
He (the idiot) did something I’ve never seen before, he pointed angrily to the ground, and mouthed something having to do with his right to walk… or something.
I was flabbergasted.
I was even MORE flabbergasted when I looked at the cross walk he was in, and there where cross hatches in his cross walk!!! The same cross hatches marked in the three other cross walks in the area!!!
WHAT THE?!?!
It seems some fool in our fair city thought it a wise idea to give the intersection a confusing mix of traffic lights, cross walk lights, and for some inexplicable reason, a frig’n cross walk lane!!!
Think about it…
This means, that when a driver see’s a green light, and especially if they are careful enough to glance and make sure the “do no cross” light it indeed lit, they will do as they have been trained, they will drive.
Mix that with some college student who no matter what driving laws are in place, no matter what natural drive for survival my cause whatever blaring alarms to off in their little mush filled heads, who because the mystical magical cross hatches are in the desired path of their foot pounding, they – will – walk !
Now, lets work this out, shall we?
First, the trained, experienced driver…
second, the “I am invincible” spoiled, up and coming liberal student…
And the law of nature that says the 3000 pound metallic piece of death on wheels will always win in ANY sumo battle with a 195 pound bookworm…
And you will have trouble, sooner or later… you will have trouble.
And by “trouble”, I mean death.
…or at least a broken femur or two.
A question for our City Fathers…. Do you really expect some inattentive driver to pay attention to which cross walk has cross hatches and which ones don’t when they have a clear green light staring them in the face and telling them to “GO GO GO – Your Little Caesars Pizza is waiting !!!”
Dude, just remove the dang cross hatches at this intersection, the kids can wait three minutes.
I know it may be a hard thing for you having probably been employed by the City Government for a few years, but common sense, in this case, really does make, common sense…
You WILL be saving at least one life here…
Waukesha Kyoto Treaty, as Signed by Mayor Larry.
October 12, 2009 at 13:19 (Frig'n politics, Sha Madness)
I just about flipped out when Huck spilled the beans on this this morning…
…And thanks to Larry Boy, here’s what Waukesha now finds itself bound to.
The U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement
(As endorsed by the 73rd
Annual U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting, Chicago, 2005)
A. We urge the federal government and state governments to enact policies and programs
to meet or beat the target of reducing global warming pollution levels to 7 percent
below 1990 levels by 2012, including efforts to: reduce the United States’ dependence
on fossil fuels and accelerate the development of clean, economical energy resources
and fuel-efficient technologies such as conservation, methane recovery for energy
generation, waste to energy, wind and solar energy, fuel cells, efficient motor vehicles,
and biofuels;
B. We urge the U.S. Congress to pass bipartisan greenhouse gas reduction legislation that
1) includes clear timetables and emissions limits and 2) a flexible, market-based system
of tradable allowances among emitting industries; and
C. We will strive to meet or exceed Kyoto Protocol targets for reducing global warming
pollution by taking actions in our own operations and communities such as:
1. Inventory global warming emissions in City operations and in the community,
set reduction targets and create an action plan.
2. Adopt and enforce land-use policies that reduce sprawl, preserve open space,
and create compact, walkable urban communities;
3. Promote transportation options such as bicycle trails, commute trip reduction
programs, incentives for car pooling and public transit;
4. Increase the use of clean, alternative energy by, for example, investing in
“green tags”, advocating for the development of renewable energy resources,
recovering landfill methane for energy production, and supporting the use of
waste to energy technology;
5. Make energy efficiency a priority through building code improvements,
retrofitting city facilities with energy efficient lighting and urging employees to
conserve energy and save money;
6. Purchase only Energy Star equipment and appliances for City use;
7. Practice and promote sustainable building practices using the U.S. Green
Building Council’s LEED program or a similar system;
8. Increase the average fuel efficiency of municipal fleet vehicles; reduce the
number of vehicles; launch an employee education program including anti-
idling messages; convert diesel vehicles to bio-diesel;
9. Evaluate opportunities to increase pump efficiency in water and wastewater
systems; recover wastewater treatment methane for energy production;
10. Increase recycling rates in City operations and in the community;
11. Maintain healthy urban forests; promote tree planting to increase shading
and to absorb CO2; and
12. Help educate the public, schools, other jurisdictions, professional associations,
business and industry about reducing global warming pollution.

Yah, it’s all Touchy Feely Easy Peesy… Until some great fool starts making laws, enacting taxes/fees, and in general tries to run a City bound by this crap.

Second bad one in about 2 weeks time, just West of Pick n Save. Living in the area I know trying to get on that stink’n road sucks most times.
I don’t know the condition of those involved, but I don’t think things are well with them.
I know adding lights everywhere would just KILL your drive time, and “roundabouts” aren’t doable here (I’m a fan by the way), so I’m not sure what can be done…
Hmmm, I might have been wrong here…

Newly declassified files show the Feds doing some big time digging into private businesses in search for terrorists.
…”Private businesses”?
